Exodus is looking for an engineering manager excited to work with a company who wants to help the world exit the traditional financial system and move into using cryptocurrency.

We are looking for someone to lead our Backend services team as well as the team that supports our growing list of assets.

We are currently growing exponentially and need strong leadership to head the way for some exciting projects where we will do things that have never been done in the crypto space.

What You Will Do

Technical Leadership

This is a 100% engineering management role. While you won’t be coding, you will help the team drive architectural decisions, define standards, and develop professionally.

Cross-Functional Scheduling

This person will be coordinating cross-functionally with Product Managers and other Engineering leaders.

Internal Planning

This role will also schedule work within the team to ensure the long-term scalability.

Examples:

  • Technical Roadmapping
  • Staffing
  • Add consistency in terms of development architecture.
  • Depending on the team, coming up with process, architecture, and tooling improvements that increase efficiency.
  • Build redundancy and shared knowledge throughout the team.

People Management

You will be responsible for creating growth paths for team members. Likewise, you will be responsible for team orchestration (ie: augmenting the team to meet the needs of the organization).

Who You Are

Ideal candidates:

  • Have 2+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Have experience managing technical teams of 6+ people.
  • Are self-motivated, well organized, and excellent communicators - both written and verbal.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience managing distributed teams.
  • Crypto development or crypto management experience.
  • Strong experience in the NodeJS ecosystem (either in management or development).
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
