Purpose of This Job:

This is a critical role supporting the Security and IT teams in all vendor/supplier product acquisitions. In this role you will build strong relationships with our 100+ third party vendors and will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure we are aligned in terms of perceived and actual value. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vendor management, supplier risk management, negotiation and contract review, and will work to ensure the business obtains the best possible value from all engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • All vendors are successfully vetted by Security process

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing

  • Prevent duplication of solutions

  • Key point of contact for signatures: ABS or Legal team (HDR)

  • Provide single pane of glass departmental spend for CISO

  • Meet with staff retrospectively, to discuss purchases and determine corrective action if necessary 

  • Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to remain apprised on industry trends and make contacts

  • Manage credit card receipts for Security 

  • Point of contact for all Security invoices

  • Interact with Finance to ensure interdepartmental collaboration on budgets, contract/SOW administration and securing of payment terms

  • Establish and manage Software Asset Management (SAM) process for Security and IT purchases

Qualifications: 

  • A technical understanding of IT & Security specific purchases to make informed decisions on purchase requests.  

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of standard contracts to facilitate purchasing processes. 

  • Project management, relationship management, negotiation skills and financial acumen are all skills that will be key to be successful in this role.
