Job Description


We are hiring a senior solidity/web3 smart contract engineer to work with founders in our incubation program. You will contribute to designing the MVPs of products being built by founders and help take them from 0 to 1. Your responsibility will be to implement state-of-the-art smart contracts, ensuring security best practices and a modular design to ensure extensibility. At any point in time, you will be working on 1-2 projects simultaneously. We expect you to have a deep desire to learn about new decentralized technology platforms (e.g. Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot, Algorand, Binance Smart Chain, etc.) as needed for any project. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with e^{i} Ventures’ co-founders and help shape the future of our firm.

Full-time and remote. No preference in location. Additional compensation in terms of bonus and equity will be discussed on a per-candidate basis.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Write state-of-the-art smart contracts on Ethereum (Solidity)
  • Quickly integrate necessary changes identified during audits
  • Contribute to other open-source projects that we integrate with
  • Work in close collaboration with the team on product architecture and design
  • Understanding of basic cryptographic tools (hash functions, asymmetric cryptography, merkle trees, etc.)
  • Knowledge of protocol scalability tools currently being developed and cross-chain communication methods
  • Basic understanding of economy and game theory

Required technical and professional expertise:

  • Familiarity with databases and full-stack frameworks
  • 1.5 years of experience and expertise in Solidity / EVM and smart contract design
  • Strong desire to build decentralized and open source software
  • Passion for learning new technology 
  • Use creativity and judgement towards professional, technical, or operational problems
  • Demonstrated people skills that contribute to an open and collaborative environment
  • Excellent English communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with DeFi protocols (Uniswap, Compound, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Ethereum Virtual Machine
  • Existing contributions to open-source software products
  • Higher degrees in Computer Science or equivalent
