The Role

We are looking for a gritty technical lead, who can operate like a technical Swiss Army Knife, providing broad level support for our engineers and driving our growth.  An ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with the stack at every level, and display an eagerness to experiment with, integrate, and learn new methods and approaches. As an intermediary between the tech team and the product side, we are looking for someone who has good communication skills for coordination among engineers and also with the product team for adeptly translating customer needs into elegant, stable, and performant software solutions.  An ideal candidate will have experience  operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often opaque work environment. Can you manage trade-offs between the speed of product delivery and the quality of our code base? Do you have experience with continuous iteration? Do you love working in new verticals, rolling your sleeves up, and solving tricky issues with our algorithms? If so - we want you on the team! 


Core Responsibilities

The tech lead will be involved in the entire Elementus product lifecycle - from initial ideation and white-boarding, to design, MVP, implementation, and deployment to end-users.   Your key responsibility would be to adapt useful and flexible structure to the work of our engineers that enhances their productivity and allows them to work efficiently and effectively, for the short and long term.   The tech lead will be the  key organizational interface for our engineers. The tech lead will communicate directly with our leadership board and other departments. You’ll manage the plans and prioritization for our engineers, working closely with our embedded analysts who are regularly communicating with customers as they tackle often difficult problems.  This is an opportunity to make your mark! Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design.
  • 7+ years writing production-quality software.
  • Experience building and managing dev teams.
  • Familiarity deploying code to cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud
  • Experience working on multiple types of databases: Relational, documents, graph.
  • Set goals for your team and team members.
  • Strong grasp of UI fundamentals
  • Strong project management skills
  • Understand the big picture of what your team is doing and why.
  • Effective and thoughtful communication skills
