Full time Blockchain Engineering Engineering - Backend

Job Description

MouseBelt is a blockchain media and technology company that builds a collection of blockchain products and produces crypto media content. MouseBelt is hiring a backend/blockchain engineer to work on integrations and bindings between blockchain protocols. Primarily, this will consist of bridges between different blockchains (ADA and CKB being the first). A candidate should have experience integrating blockchain nodes, and understanding of best practices in handling payments and consistency.

It is strongly preferred that the candidate be experienced in either the Nervos and Cardano blockchain, but it is not required for a candidate with experience with bridges.

A qualified candidate for this role should be independent and able to ask questions/research answers when needed. They should have a strong understanding of blockchain systems, and what a bridge should do, and how to build one. They will work in concert with internal engineers to help build the product.

Employment is remote, and engineers stay connected on weekly calls (or whenever meetings are set up) and on Slack.

  • Javascript/Typescript (node)
  • Experience with one other language for backend development (Java, Rust, etc)
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience implementing and interacting with smart contracts
  • Experience interacting with blockchain nodes and the EVM
  • Experience building payment or financial systems
