Role Description

The OTC & EM Cryptocurrency Sales Associate/VP will manage existing, as well as identify and target new, counterparty relationships across the cryptocurrency & blockchain space. This is an APAC-exclusive role and goals include creating a better focus on regional partners – in their local languages – as well as creating a more concreate understanding of new trends and fundamental market needs not already being addressed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Galaxy’s counterparty relationships, onboarding, OTC trade flow from new and existing counterparties
  • Participate in the company’s overall business development such as implementing and developing strategies, increasing customer base, assisting in portfolio management and trading build-out
  • Accompany team members to meet with clients and further evaluate current offerings, assist in resolving issues, and identify any areas of opportunities
  • Create presentation materials, SWOT analysis, and sales plan alongside various internal stakeholders
  • Assist in creating a database of leads/ prospective clients by industry
  • Work alongside teams in the US & Asia to define and develop a sales & strategy plan across businesses to identify new & existing trade opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Native or highly proficient Mandarin (Cantonese acceptable for the right candidate) plus Business or Native English
  • 3+ years institutional OTC sales trading experience
  • Organization skills for running a sales & trading counterparty management system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities (Chinese and English a must)
  • Strong team orientation skillset balanced with being a self-starter – especially given the restraints imposed by COVID
  • A person who can take the initiative and follow it through to completion
  • Cross-selling skills across multiple products and business silos

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cryptocurrencies, OTC sales, trading, and settlement processes
