Working as part of the quant team, the candidate is expected to be a data expert and have excellent data engineering and analysis skills. Data is an important part of our core trading process. In this role, the candidate will work with other quants, developers, and traders to ensure easy access to accurate and timely data and derive insights from data-driven analytics to help improve trading decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend our in-house data infrastructure, including data collection and storage systems, data analytics systems and tools.
  • Work closely with quants, developers, and traders to build new data sets and maintain/improve reliability and efficiency of current data systems.
  • Build, improve and manage production data processes and integrate with systematic and other trading processes.
  • Perform data analysis on various data sets and derive insights to improve trading performance.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in STEM or similar, advanced degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of data developer experience in a front office trading environment at sell-side financial institutions, hedge funds or proprietary trading firms.
  • Excellent programming skills, preferably Python and/or C++.
  • Experience with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy and other statistical analysis packages.
  • Knowledge of relational Database, PostgreSQL a plus
  • Experience working with exchange market data feed and other financial data sets.
  • Strong quantitative/data analysis skills; Experience with statistical learning a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
