BlockFi is looking for a rock star Senior Content Designer to help build our Content Design team!
About Your Team
BlockFi Content Designers are part of the Product Design team. They work in partnership with Content Strategists, Designers, Researchers, and Product Owners to create best-in-class experiences for customers around the world. They have a deep understanding of our products and customers and use data and research to inform concepts and decision-making. They’re experts in their craft, storytellers, tech enthusiasts, and customer champions. They’re also great role models and mentors at different stages of their career journey.
Your Mission
As a Senior Content Designer, you’ll participate in the end-to-end design process, and all phases of content development. You’ll work on everything from big-picture thinking to compelling value props to helpful UI content and error messages. You’ll use thoughtfully crafted language to help our customers understand, manage, and grow their crypto assets, and you’ll play an integral role in developing project vision and strategy.
As a member of our diverse Product Design organization, you’ll work with cross-functional, international teams across product domains. We use our design and research skills to inspire & influence across the company. We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. We advocate for meaningful and engaging experiences for our diverse global customers. We support each other, learn from challenges, and have fun along the way.
Responsibilities
- Use global product requirements to create a strategy for meeting business goals and addressing customer challenges
- Present your content strategy to teammates, product owners, and other stakeholders
- Write clear, concise content for a variety of financial products
- Collaborate with design on page layout and interactions
- Coordinate with Brand, Marketing, and Ops teams to ensure a consistent experience across all products and platforms
- Use data and research to inform and validate your work, and to find opportunities to create value
- Help maintain and evolve BlockFi content standards, including voice and tone guidelines
- Partner with legal and compliance to make sure our products are suitable for a growing global audience
- Work closely with our research teams to better understand the needs of our clients
- Advocate for our users with a strong sense of empathy
Your Expertise
- 4+ years of experience crafting content for web and mobile experiences
- A degree in English, Communications, Design, Journalism, or other discipline that emphasizes storytelling and critical thinking
- A portfolio of samples that demonstrate your ability to write clear, concise content across a variety of projects
- A willingness to articulate and pitch ideas to cross-functional partners
- Highly collaborative with an understanding of when it makes sense to push back
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment – and to roll with changes in direction
- Experience working with brand and product style guides, including voice and tone guidelines
- Experience working with a variety of design tools, such as Figma and Sketch
- An interest in (or passion for!) crypto
