Job Description

We're looking for a Counsel to advise on a wide range of trademark, marketing, copyright, domain name, open source, patent and other IP issues; provide legal advice and support on the day-to-day operations of the company; and develop high functioning collaborative business relationships with Dapper’s internal business leaders and stakeholders.

You will:

  • Provide comprehensive intellectual property and marketing legal support to Dapper’s marketing, BD, product, engineering and open source teams.
  • Develop templates, guidelines, frameworks and processes to scale and accelerate the velocity of the business.
  • Develop effective strategies to tackle legal challenges unique to web3
  • Help manage Dapper’s brand protection and enforcement matters, including litigation, oppositions, cancellations, UDRPs and takedowns.
  • Work closely with the product and commercial legal teams to develop strong relationships with Dapper’s valued partners.
  • Provide clearance for new names and logos and help shape Dapper’s brand strategy
  • Help scale a holistic intellectual property strategy across various products and business units
  • Develop trademark filing strategies and manage prosecution

You have:

  • JD degree and membership in at least one state bar
  • Well-developed skills in U.S. and international trademark clearance, counseling, prosecution, and enforcement
  • Significant experience supporting marketing teams,
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep understanding of social media and internet platforms
  • Strong interest in web3 and crypto
