BlockFi is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team!
About Your Team
At BlockFi, Product Designers influence teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle. This includes drawing on data and research to inform design concepts and decision making. We start with asking the right questions and end with optimized, best-in-class deliverables. Our designers are great storytellers, active listeners, technology enthusiasts and experts of their craft – in other words great role models and mentors at different stages of their career journey.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will advocate for our customer needs and lead project execution in a complex or strategic product domain. You will establish a network across domains and your cross-functional team.
Your Mission
As a Senior Product Designer, you will help to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for our global clients while collaborating closely with teammates to deliver the best possible product experience for our clients around the world. Product Designers act as the voice of our clients, advocating for a seamless user experience across our product portfolio. With specific guidance and support, you will help project execution and learn how to navigate working in cross-functional international teams while establishing interpersonal relationships across domains and your cross-functional team.
You will report to Malia Nagle, VP of Product Design, and be a member of our diverse UX organization where we use our design and research skills to inspire & influence across the company. We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. We advocate for meaningful and engaging experiences for our diverse global customers. We support each other, learn from challenges, and have fun along the way.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently partner with cross-functional team members in the conceptualization, and delivery of our customer-focused products.
- Create high-quality interaction design to improve ease of use, discoverability and comprehension, while being able to meet requirements, timelines and tell the story of the work.
- Leverage and extend the use of established design system, style guide, patterns and assets in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and deliverables
- Collaborate with UX Research to leverage findings to identify actionable insights, and use them to inform design decisions.
- Produce storyboards, user flows, journey maps, and wireframes that effectively communicate detailed user actions.
- Prototype design solutions that meet measurable business goals and user requirements.
- Support the team in creating high-quality deliverables on a work stream with guidance from a senior designer, within timelines and project requirements
- Advocate for our users with a strong sense of user empathy, and awareness at scale.
- Actively contribute to the wider UX community, possibly mentoring and developing others, leveraging your strengths to help others grow.
Your Expertise
- BA/BS +8 yrs experience or Masters +6 yrs experience in the field of user experience, design, research or related fields; for example, Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences OR alternative equivalent project/portfolio experience
- Experience across products and platforms, mobile apps, Cryptocurrency expertise is an advantage
- Familiarity and experience with standard design, prototyping and user research tools, such as Figma, Miro, Sketch, Invision, Validately or usertesting.com
