The Content Operations Manager will have experience managing digital broadcast operations with strong technical skills, strong broadcast/IT network skills and familiarity with system configuration.
Beyond just the technology, you'll focus on resource allocation, daily functioning of the facility, designing video workflows, and managing personnel. This is a fulltime position in our New York office.
You'll have:
- A passion for broadcast engineering/IT and are comfortable with current media technologies, concepts and emerging trends (i.e Media over IP, Cloud Computing, etc.)
- Extensive experience with recorded and live TV production, video editing, audio and studio lighting
- Experience with file-based workflows and knowledge of enterprise Media Asset Management systems
- Knowledge of compression, video codecs, camera recording formats, ingesting, transcoding.
- Fundamental understanding of live production control rooms, newsroom systems and remote production
- Able to create efficient workflows to maximize productivity with personal and technology
- Knowledge of podcasts and video streaming infrastructure and software
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain end-to-end video production systems and workflows
- Respond to, communicate, manage, and track technical issues as they arise in a live 24/7 production environment
- Ability to lead project management for both long and short-term video production projects
- Ability to maintain and monitor security services and protocols
- Tracking and maintaining a detailed inventory of all production equipment, including costs, models and dates of mics, cameras & lights in the NY offices, with employees and guests
- Managing staff software accounts, vendors, subscriptions, printers/scanners/copiers, office equipment and furniture inventory
- Working with Finance to ensure bills & invoices are organized and processed in a timely manner
- Manage Vendor relations by updating new accounts, paying subscriptions, keep track of vendors on the Dropbox spreadsheet
- In office: checking mail/packages, order office supplies, coordinating with cleaning crew
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of digital broadcasting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills with superior attention to detail
