Crypto-currency and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) represent a once in a lifetime wealth building opportunity. However, most people do not have the time or the technical or financial experience to capitalize on this opportunity. OptyFi was founded to address this problem. Our advanced AI powered yet intuitive platform offers passive investors an opportunity to generate wealth from decentralized assets simply and automatically.

NFTs are one type of decentralized asset OptyFi is focusing on. We believe NFTs are in early stages of adoption, and that one day NFT trading will be as common as stock trading. Today’s NFT investors have few tools at their disposal to enable an informed purchasing decision under any single platform. Meanwhile, pricing NFT assets can be very difficult because there are many dimensions to price in this market. Whereas all common shares of Apple stock are the same and trade at the same price; each NFT in a given collection is individually unique and demands it’s own market price based on things like recent trading history of close comparables and the buyer’s preferences. Often NFTs with similar traits (close comparables) do not have recent trading history available, which makes it difficult for an investor to asses the current fair market value and leaves room for inefficiencies in the market.

Alongside our yield product we’re establishing a team to develop a decentralized, permissionless NFT Investment App with a suite of powerful research tools to address these pain points and empower retail users with the ability to make well informed NFT investment decisions, exploit inefficiencies, and generate alpha. Models and charts displayed to users must be fed high quality data, so we’re seeking a talented data engineer to join our team.

Knowledge/Experience in the following would be an asset:

  • Python, NodeJS (Javascript), and TimescaleDB (Postgres)

  • ML with an emphasis on Financial Time Series Data

  • Blockchain and especially NFTs
