We have an interesting internship opportunity for an ambitious Blockchain Research Intern who can hit the ground running and start bringing value to our team immediately. If you’re looking for the right environment to become an expert in cryptocurrencies and digital assets, you’ll find a fit at Secure Digital Markets. 

Reporting to the traders at our company, you will be responsible for supplying top quality research while assisting in the sales process of new business verticals as these are critical for our growth and overall success. This role would be ideally suited for a crypto enthusiast able to self-manage, work independently, set priorities and efficiently manage day to day tasks with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and organization.

The role is constantly evolving and if you want to focus or move around within the company, we are very accommodating.

Passion is a must in the crypto world. Things move so fast - and the market narrative changes every few months - so you need to be ready to keep up and bring your own innovative ideas to the table. Responsibilities & Expectations

Based anywhere in North America (strong preference for physical presence at the office in Toronto), the main responsibilities and expectations for the role are:

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic understanding of blockchain business models within various niches (DeFi, NFTs, Marketplaces, Tokenization, user attention, etc.).
  • Research and write short to long-form reports on a variety of topics (Cryptocurrency trading, OTC statistics, NFTs, DeFi, on-chain metrics, or anything else within the cryptocurrency space).
• Keep up to date on the news and provide quick daily updates for the entire company.
• Research global cryptocurrency trends.
• Level up our marketing game for the trading desk by posting interesting articles/threads

regarding actionable info/events on Twitter and other channels. 

• Work directly with traders to collaborate on research for clients
• Support the sales department to help close new clients
  • Build a strong global database of crypto firms in order to facilitate sales outreach
• Update existing Sales Material and any other resources required to help the sales team
• Share efficient prospecting processes by leveraging tools and company assets

Required Qualifications:

• Passion for the blockchain/cryptocurrency/trading.
  • Experience in interacting with cryptocurrencies either through research or trading (Bitcoin, Altcoins, NFTs, DeFi, Metaverse, etc…)
  • Strong writing skills and ability to write short to long-form reports
• Knowledge and competency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and issues with tact and diplomacy.
• Exceptional organizational skills and deliver projects on time
• Highly skilled in learning on the job and continuously learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree (or working towards completion), preferably in finance or business
• Experience in blockchain or crypto industry is an asset
• Start up experience is preferred
• Entrepreneurial background
