The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department and carry out responsibilities in all functional HR areas including recruiting and onboarding, independent contractor and employee relations, payroll, benefits, leave of absences, and organizational development for a team that spans that the globe.
  • Responsible for Human Resources communications across all Teams
  • Establish and maintain the Human Resources Policy Manual and facilitate the development, revision, and improvement of personnel procedures and policies
  • Help select and then support the company’s health benefits and wellness programs in multiple jurisdictions across the globe
  • Once selected and implemented, maintain full life cycle of employee health benefits as required by each unique jurisdiction
  • Manage relationships with insurance carriers and benefits broker
  • Participate in development/design of role descriptions, compensation structure and the job profile library
  • Own HR data management, including the execution of HR System transactions and ensuring accuracy of data
  • Maintain and administer independent contractor and employee records, benefits and compensation while maintaining compliance with all international, regional and local laws
  • Support finance in monthly payment processes and headcount tracking, and provide Ad-Hoc reporting as required
  • Coordinate leaves of absence, working closely with independent contractors, employees and managers, including maintaining accurate records and reports of all leaves of absence
  • Manage pre-employment administrative processes, onboarding, and facilitation of orientation processes.
  • Provide partnership and support to management with regards to independent contractor and employee relations, handling and preparation of disciplinary actions and coaching
  • Respond to independent contractor and employee relations issues, providing high quality advice and service
  • Help organize training & development initiatives to assist with retention and leadership development
  • Maintain relationships with independent contractors and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Promote and foster an environment of open communication and honest, candid feedback
  • Maintains organizational charts of all independent contractors, hourly and full-time employees by department

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in the HR field
  • At least 2 years of Recruiting and Independent Contractor / Employee Relations experience
  • Thorough knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment law
  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, working independently, effectively navigating start-up ambiguities, handling multiple priorities simultaneously, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills
  • Work well under pressure and the ability to achieve tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated high work standards-holds self to very high standard of quality and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to have difficult conversations in a candid and respectful manner
  • Strong business acumen, and proven interest in learning more about the businesses
  • Excellent conflict management and resolution skills
  • High emotional and cultural intelligence
  • Ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable presenting in front of small to large groups using online meeting technologies.

  • Successful recruiting and onboarding, independent contractor and employee relations, payroll management, benefits management, leave of absences management, and organizational development for a team that spans that the globe, all functioning in an efficient consistent manner.
  • Establishment and maintenance of the Human Resources Policy Manual.
  • Close working partnerships with key leaders in the organization.
