What We Value:
We are a diverse team of free thinkers, and fast movers united to help investors and creators energize the global economy. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a culture of builders and overachievers and embrace high performance, transparent feedback, and a mission-first approach. Our culture shapes our way of working and gets us where we want to be.
Who You Are:
Do you enjoy infiltrating software by hacking* Do you relish finding the cracks and vulnerabilities in distributed systems* We are not looking for someone who writes test plans. We want someone who gets their hands dirty by crafting scenarios to break the software our development team has built. One day you might be fuzzing the auth system on our API and the next day you might be randomly killing server instances to test resilience. You will be working with dev teams to ensure their software is robust, performant and secure.
The Chaos Engineer works alongside Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers to help uncover weaknesses in our applications and platforms. This role is technical with an internal facing focus, providing technical competence to isolate experiments on production and production-like environments.
What You’ll Do:
You will be responsible for executing real world conditions such as instance outages, site failures, large traffic spikes, and unforeseen application calls within the environments. You will understand the way the customers are utilizing our services and help find ways to improve the overall availability of the service by driving teams to adopt practices and mechanisms for preventing incidents from occurring in the first place. We envision that all build, deployment, test execution, problem detection and recovery are fully automated- thus eliminating human error. If you work on Site Reliability Engineering in your current role and/or are interested in creating chaos, we would love to have you on our team
