Dorado is the first crypto-native IRA platform and marketplace - a place where people can invest, stake, and secure crypto and digital assets within their retirement account. Our mission is to make digital asset investing within retirement accounts simple, easy, and transparent. 

The vision for Dorado is to change the landscape of retirement and build a product that will empower investors in a new digital asset world. For far too long, investors have been limited within retirement accounts to investing in traditional assets like mutual funds and equities. The world is rapidly changing and tradFi isn’t innovating fast enough - leaving investors misallocated and misinformed. Dorado is here to change that. 

The Role 

Dorado is seeking a world-class Full Stack Engineer whose mission will be to build our product and participate in all technological growth initiatives.

As one of the founding engineers, you will be a technology leader within Dorado, responsible for designing and developing the software that powers the platform. You will work alongside the CTO and the Leadership team to identify and implement the product features, work with API integrations of external service providers, and drive the engineering roadmap execution.

Dorado is a remote-first company but welcomes team members to move to Miami, FL - where they plan on opening their headquarters in 2023.

What you'll do...

• Architect - You will be expected to envision and architect new features for our product to improve the customer experience  
• Code - You will be expected to write code - implementing UX and UI in our customer facing app and sometimes designing it yourself based on our existing design system and components
• Scale - Help scale our systems in a sustainable and efficient manner.
• Integrate - Work with our partners and external service providers to white label their products into our own IP as well as integrate their data points into our own IP/dashboards. 
• Communicate - Communicate effectively and work together well with engineering and leadership team to execute on business goals 
• Strategize - Contribute to the near and long term technology strategy and plan for the integration, upgrade and alignment of systems to fully optimize the value of the enterprise. 
• Secure - Maintain and improve our existing codebase from a security standpoint 

You have…

• Grit and desire to work hard everyday to build a $10B product
• You have extensive engineering experience at startups or fast growing tech companies (bonus points if you have direct fintech experience)
• You are confident in developing, releasing, and maintaining web applications in a fast paced, iterative environment
• You’re comfortable with a full stack role (front/backend)
• You have experience with our tech stack or are confident you can learn it quickly
• You have strong react and custom application development experience
• You're comfortable with AWS or similar (e.g. Google cloud)
• Broad-based functional IT experience, including security, infrastructure and architecture.
• A passion for the customer and solving their problems
• API integration and dashboard building experience

• A proven ability to create innovative consumer facing products, as well as internal tools and systems that improve the efficiency of the team
• A technical mindset, enabling you to speak fluently and credibly with engineers

• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly article plans and projects both to senior level executives and more junior team members
• An entrepreneurial spirit and are excited by the challenges that come along with building a disruptive business
