About the Opportunity

Okcoin’s People organization is hiring a Program Manager to help build the next generation People Information System. This program is responsible for a variety of operations that span multiple business verticals including People, internal tools, IT, compliance, and internationalization. 

Opportunities to work with other business verticals will also be abundant. This role is responsible for the internal user experience, roadmap, integration, and launch of new features and tools that will enable our stakeholders to scale their operations, minimize manual effort, and develop a competitive and innovative business strategy. In this role, you will identify high impact opportunities, turn these into initiatives, and lead development while sourcing new opportunities. You’ll work closely with engineering, product and design to break down complex problems into goal-oriented initiatives and specifications to drive our business forward. 

As an early member of Okcoin’s People team, you will have the opportunity to heavily influence the program’s structure, strategy, and roadmap. You will also get to ship meaningful features and integrations to help us scale. We’re looking for a leader who has experience with internal tool integrations and shipping features for internal tools/platform products.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Define and drive Okcoin’s internal tools product strategy and roadmap across relevant cross-functional verticals
• Collect product requirements from internal stakeholders and write clear product specifications with clearly identified problem statements, objectives, measures of success, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Manage priorities and timelines in close collaboration with the engineering, product, design, and a host of other internal stakeholders
• Provide written and verbal updates to company executives about your team’s strategy and progress 
• Ability to work evenings with Beijing-based teams as needed

What We Look For In You:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
• Verbal and written fluency in both English and Mandarin
• Ability to work internationally across time zones with Beijing-based engineering team
• 3-5+ years of product or program management experience with a track record of successful integrations and launches 
• High level experience with APIs and database design / architecture
• Experience integrating systems through APIs, etc.
• Experience with SQL
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and software (e.g., Jira, Clubhouse, Azure DevOps)
• Talent for leveraging quantitative and qualitative data sources and identifying insights to improve business performance, while understanding the impact on our stakeholders
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders through proactive communication and building trust
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude for developing a narrative, tailoring it to your audience, establishing credibility, and influencing stakeholders to prioritize impactful business initiatives
