We’re looking for a Research Operations Manager to help drive the future of our products, set strategies, and develop a culture of research-driven user experience. We have offices in San Francisco, Miami, Malta, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, and while this role is listed in San Francisco, we are remote-first and believe in you working wherever you work best.
Okcoin builds mobile-first experiences through products and features that cater to retail investors as we evolve the business beyond the core trader customer base. We make it easy to buy and sell crypto and provide access to passive income earning opportunities, but we need to continue innovating and rounding out the retail offering. Okcoin is seeking a Research Operations Manager to join us on this quest to make crypto accessible to everyone.
You will report to the Head of Experience Operations, with a dotted-line to the Head of Research. You will bring your program management and people skills to drive an infrastructure for growth and development. As a Research Operations Manager, you will collaborate with the Head of Research, HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and the Head of Experience Operations to enrich and scale the way we organize, share and incorporate research and insights across the company.

Own, update, and communicate with stakeholders and department heads of Experience, Design Operations, and Research on project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and incentives

Partner with Head of Research, Head of Experience Operations, and Talent Acquisition, to develop hiring and growth strategies for the team, onboard new researchers on tooling, and manage global licensing and vendor relations

Collaborate with internal partners (i.e. Legal, Experience, Marketing, etc.) to develop and maintain formal vendor relationships, maintain knowledge of data protection requirements of research to protect participants and our business (eg. GDPR, CCPA), and make sure we are adhering to these standards

Partner with Head of Research and stakeholders to make thoughtful decisions about when to escalate requests to do impactful research for the benefit of the business, provide data to teams, loop in the right researchers, and create more process and support to enable their success (e.g. onboarding, newsletters, new tooling workshops)

Update research repository database whenever new research is completed; ensure research project documentation is updated in a timely manner and is stored in the appropriate project files, with logical tagging

Lead scheduling of customer research activities in partnership with researchers, for in-person and virtual interviews, focus groups, surveys, or other types of research

An existing familiarity with market research and UX research methodologies, terminology, processes, etc.
